| 5...Now click on the Selection tool on the right hand side. |

| Settings across the top should be set as : |
| Selection type = Rectangle |
| Mode = Add (Shift) |
| Feather = 0 |
| Now on your canvas start where the dark lines goes across on the left hand side. Left click the |
| mouse, keep the mouse clicked and at the same time, drag down To the bottom right |
| hand corner. After you done this, it should look like the one below. |
| With what looks like ants marching around it, and of course without the writing. |

Do not deselect yet. |
| 6...Now go up to the top and click Selections then click Promote selections to layer. | |
| 7... We should now have 2 layers in the layer palette. |

Now would be a good time to save your work. Always save often. |
| 8...Now we will need to make a new layer in the layer palette. To do this go to the top, click |
| Layers, then click New Raster Layer. A box will appear click ok at the bottom. |
| Now your layer palette should look like the one below… |

9...Now we need to set the gradient back to color, click back on the foreground color box. |
|
|
| This time click on the top tab that says Color and use these settings. |
| R = 244 |
| G = 232 |
| B= 166 |
|

|
10...Now we will make a sun for the sky. To do this, click again on the Selections tool. |

| But this time we need to change the setting so it will be on circle. Use these settings |
| Selection Type = circle |
| Mode = Add (Shift) |
| Feather = checked |
|
|
| Now start a circle on your canvas, by holding down on the left side of the mouse and at the same |
|
time drag out, to where you think it is big enough for a sun. You should now have a circle with marching ants around it |
|
Now click on the flood fill tool and flood fill inside the marching ants. |
|
Don’t worry if it isn’t in the middle because you can move it later. |

| Now deselect the circle by going to Selections then click Select None. Now click on the |
| Move tool so you can place the sun where you want it. Mine is placed like the one below. |

| 11...Now we will give the sun a glow, to do this go to the top, Click Adjust then Bur then |
| click Gaussian Bur. Use these settings |
| Radius = 5.00 |
| Click ok. |
