| Level : Beginners |
| I made this tut using psp v 9. But I think you can do it in other versions as well |
| You will need the heat and chain tubes to do this tut. They can be downloaded here... |
|
The Chain |
|
1...First start by opening up the tubes in psp. Once you have them open you will need to open the layer palette, " if it is not already open. You can easily do this my clicking the F8 key on your keyboard.
2... Once you have the layer palette open click on top of the one that says chain to make it active. It should be highlighted in blue. Click on top of the Foreground color box.
|
|
|
|
when the box appears, click on the Gradient tab at the top. Now click on the down arrow and find the one that says Metal Brass and click on top of it. Then fill in the rest of the setting as below... Angel = 319 Repeats = 0 Invert = checked Style = Linear click ok Now click on the Flood Fill Tool and flood fill the chain.
|
|
|
|
Now click on the Flood Fill Tool
and flood fill the chain.
Now we will add a drop shadow to it. Go to the top and click, Effects > 3D Effects, then click Drop Shadow.
Use these settings.
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 80
Blur = 1.00
Color = Black
Shadow on new layer = unchecked
click ok.
The Heart
3...Now we will do the heart
bottom. Go back to the Layer Palette and click on top of the one that
says Heart Bottom to activate it. "It should turn blue once you
click it "
Now click on the foreground color
box again, when the gradient box appear, change the Repeats to 1, then
click ok.
Now click on the flood fill tool
and flood fill the heart with the gradient color.
4... Now click on the Move
tool. Use your mouse and carefully place the top black heart on top of
the gold heart, so it will meet evenly.
Now we will add a cutout effect. To
do this go to the top, click
Effect > 3d Effects then click
Cutout. Use these settings....
Vertical = minus 2
"-2"
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 100
Blur = 8.00
Shadow Color = Black
Fill interior color = unchecked
click ok.
Now we will add a drop shadow to
it. Go to the top and click, Effects > 3D Effects, then click
Drop Shadow.
Use these settings.
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 80
Blur = 1.00
Color = Black
Shadow on new layer = unchecked
click ok.
5... Now click on the Move
Tool and place the chain on the heart. Once you have it the way you
want it. You will have to merge all the layers together. To do this,
go to the top, click Layers > Merge > Then click Merge
Visible.
Save your heart as a psp file so
you will be able to use in scraps for later use.
Tips : Once you are done, you can
always add things to the finished heart, maybe a tiny flower, bow or
add some text. Be creative with it. Its your creation. :)
